This website is designed to be a resource for Heath's students, parents and teachers. For parents, second to your child's teacher, it is a place to find answers to such questions as: What is my child is learning in math class? How can I help my child with math homework? Where can I find good math challenges and websites for my child to work on at home? Meet Heath School's Math Specialist/coach, K–5
Ms. eleanor demont
A 37-year veteran educator, Ms. Demont has taught all grades from kindergarten through 8, as well as adults at the graduate level at Wheelock College. Prior to joining the Public Schools of Brookline in 1990, she taught elementary school in New Orleans, Louisiana, and middle school in New York City. 2017-18 marks the 11th year in her current position as Heath's Math Specialist/Coach.
Ms. Demont is the recipient of the Golden Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, 2002; the Alumni Miller Award for Excellence in Teaching, 2004; and the Ernest R. Caverly Award for Excellence in Teaching, 2007.
